Tray Master

Operating-room teams have to know which instruments belong in a tray. Practice assembling trays through short, repeatable challenges, in the format of a language-learning game.

THE IDEA

Originally presented as Tray Call, Tray Master helps new operating-room staff connect instrument names with shapes and recognize the small differences between similar tools. It offers short, repeated practice with feedback on each choice.

The submitted deck shows name matching, multiple-choice recognition, a 3D instrument library for rotation and zoom, and a Tray Builder game using procedure-specific instrument sets. The deck describes browser play on phones, tablets and computers. It does not establish clinical or financial benefits for Tray Master.
