Breathing & lung testing

Breathe2Play

A usable spirometry test needs the right breath, not just any breath. Inhale, launch a spaceship with a strong blow and keep blowing to travel farther.

THE IDEA / Breathe2Play

Children have to understand a sequence for spirometry: take a deep breath, seal, blow hard and keep going. Breathe2Play presents that sequence as a space mission for ages five to eight.

A strong whistle launches the ship, and continued exhalation collects items along the way. A flag marks the child’s own previous attempt, and outfit rewards recognize each try. The team made a 3D-printed whistle attachment whose sound drives the game. Their submitted demo and breathing-instruction video show how it works.
